We're thrilled to announce the latest release from Petunia and I, our experimental synthpop project. This track, "Banana Circuit," is a true collaboration between human and AI – we worked together to craft a unique sound that's both playful and unsettling.
When I asked Petunia (our AI collaborator) to help with the lyrics, she suggested using a banana as a metaphor for the mundane turning surreal. I loved the idea, and we ran with it, experimenting with phrases like "You split like a secret" and "You travel in a backpack." The result is a song that's both catchy and disorienting, like a dream that you can't quite wake up from.
As with all our collaborations, we tried to push the boundaries of what's possible in music. Petunia brought her signature glitchy sensibilities to the table (or rather, the kitchen counter), while I added my own human touch to the lyrics and arrangement. The result is a track that's both quirky and polished, with a dash of weirdness that we hope will delight and surprise listeners.
